wazi — Swahili for open

Every shilling,
in the open.

Wazisha is for the person holding a harambee — for a burial, a wedding, a hospital bill. Record who gave what, and share a statement the whole community can trust.

The records stay in your own Google Sheet. Wazisha never touches the money, and never keeps a copy.

A lens, not a store

Your records never leave your hands.

Wazisha works like a lens over a Google Sheet that belongs to you. Whatever happens to the app, the books are still yours.

Your sheet

The Ledger lives in your Drive

Every contribution is written to a Google Sheet you own. Open it, share it, keep it for as long as you like.

No money held

We are the bookkeeper, not the bank

Contributions go straight between people, by M-Pesa or cash. Wazisha only keeps the record — never a single shilling.

One sheet only

Nothing else in your Drive

Wazisha can only see the one sheet it helps you make. The rest of your Google Drive stays private to you.

Three steps

From the first pledge to the final word.

1

Open the harambee

Name the cause and set a target. Wazisha makes the sheet in your Google Drive and invites the committee to read it.

2

Record as it comes

Add each pledge and payment on your phone — at the gathering, on the way home, even with no signal. It saves at once and syncs when you are back online.

3

Share the statement

One tap sends a clean, fair summary to WhatsApp. Everyone sees the same figures — what has come in, and what is still expected.

Fair to everyone

A statement that names givers, never debtors.

Wazisha shows the community three honest states — and protects the dignity of anyone who has not finished giving.

Part way

Pledged and paid, side by side

A partial payment shows both figures, so progress is visible without anyone being singled out.

Still expected

Counted, never shamed

Unpaid pledges are folded into a single "still expected" total. The number is honest; no one is named as owing.

Sent a statement?

Someone shared a Wazisha statement with you.

If a treasurer sent you a summary that says "Made with Wazisha", this is the tool they used to keep the books. Every figure you saw came from their own records, in their own Google Sheet — the same numbers the whole group can see.
